Here we was called in to undertake a full clean of the customers two seater sofa. Also along with completing the body perspiration damage caused to the left hand side head area.

We start by undertaking a full deep clean of the two seater sofa using our antibacterial leather cleaner. This is carried out using a tampico brush which helps reach deep into the pours of the leather. Suddenly this process brings up all the dirt and grime that had built up in the pours of the leather. Unfortunately this causes the leather not to be able to breath. Finally all excess dirt is wiped away with our lint free cloths.

Repairing The Damage

Now the sofa is fully clean we can start to work with the area of body perspiration. Firstly we apply a leather degreasing agent which helps pull out the grease and oils which have contaminated the leather. Although the sofa is already clean it is important this is done. This process is repeated until all the oils have been removed. However it may need to be repeated several times.

We now go about prepping the area using a leather prep. Which removes the manufacturers finish and remove any contamination leaving the leather suitable for the repair process to start.

We apply a base coat of leather dye by hand using a lint free cloth. This allows the dye to get in the grain of the leather which allows a better bond with the leather. This is dried off using a hair dryer to allow the areas to be continued to be worked on.

Lastly we start applying the finish coating of the leather dye. Using a airbrush this allows nice fine even coats of dye being applied between every coat. Now we apply the hair dryer to cure of the previous coats of dye. Especially in the damaged area.

The repairs are now ready for there sealant lacquer coating. Moreover the repair is sealed and puts the protective barrier back on to the repaired area to seal it.
