Cream To Brown Colour Change

The above picture shows a faded cream three seater sofa. The customer had decided that they no longer wanted their sofa to be this colour so they opted for a colour change from one of our technicians.

This colour change is carried out first by cleaning the sofa and applying leather prep which will take off the manufacturers coating. After this the technician will sand down the leather to give it a better adhesion. The technician will then again prep the sofa to remove any dust particles. Once the colour has been removed the technician then starts to apply a base coat by hand using a lint free cloth in a circular motion. Now the technician will begin to use the air brush to build up evenly spread coats of colour.

This particular three seater sofa was requested to be changed from it’s cream colour to a dark grey. Below are the pictures of the completed colour change.

After Completion

Once completed the sofa needs to be left for at least 2 hours until it is dry enough to touch. This is if the customer wishes to have a closer look at the repair however we do not recommend it. The area should then not be used for approximately 72 hours. This depending on how much colour is applied during the colour restoration.

We advise that all leather is cleaned and protected every six months. This allows the leather to stay clean and fresh. The protection cream gives that extra barrier between the wear and tear and the sofa.

Yearly maintenance

We offer a yearly maintenance plan for all customers that have had our full restoration service. This is where you get a reduced fixed price for us to visit every year. This to undertake a full clean and minor repairs for the price of our standard clean package. If you would like to take advantage of this package please speak to technician while on site. They can get you added to the plan and get your next appointment booked in.
